For me, knitting is a way to honour my aunt’s legacy, but also to explore and unleash my creative side. I self taught myself from reading books to watching “YouTube” videos on both crochet and knitting. I usually dive into complicated patterns, as I so love a challenge. I have made several items from cables to brioche and absolutely love it. I have plans to start selling my finished items once I can refrain from giving away items to family and friends who I show my work to and well they love it. It’s pretty easy to get started not to mention a certain thrill and gratification that comes with holding up something you’ve just made with your own two hands—whether it took hours or years. I guarantee that once you pick up your first pair of knitting needles or crochet hook, you’ll wonder what took so long! So what are you waiting for?
